      This is a new position created to handle the HR organizational development and generalist needs of this rapidly growing business in Latin America, supporting multiple senior leaders and approximately 100 employees located in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mexico City and Argentina. The position will report directly to the Director, Human Resources for the Americas of a Business Unit and will dotted line report to the Sr. Director, Latin America. The position will be based in Brazil. Occasional travel to Mexico City and Argentina will be required.



      Function and Scope

      Serves as the strategic business partner to senior management supporting business initiatives and operations in the areas of people development, performance management, communications, policy development, process improvements, and talent and succession planning, Participates in the planning and implementation of strategic plans. Provides guidance on HR issues including employee relations, attraction and retention of key talent, compensation and benefits administration, training assessment and implementation of programs, and HR systems management. Coach’s senior management on employee-related issues as well as formal regional and global processes. Consults with senior management on trends within the employee population and industry and implements solutions.



      Accountabilities and Inter-dependencies



      Areas of responsibility and accountability between this position and the corporate infrastructure are as follows:

      Employee Relations: Position will interface with Director, Americas to determine where corporate consultation and guidance is required to address employee relations issues. Employee Relations will serve as key partner to address such issues. Local legal counsel will be utilized as directed by corporate Employee Relations function.

      Compensation: Position will be responsible for recommending international survey resources. Will conduct local surveys and gather local benchmarking data for review by corporate Compensation function. Will make recommendations on setting local pay ranges and will be responsible for integrating data with SAP.

      Benefits: Position will interface with corporate Benefits function on preparation for and identification of vendors and plan design. Corporate Benefits will provide consulting expertise in developing RFP’s for bidding process.

      Recruiting: Position will be responsible for sourcing candidates and coordinating interviewing and hiring process for local positions with support from corporate Recruiting function and access to global requisition process and tools.

      HR Technology: Position will manage all HR processes through company-wide technology; will manage maintenance of all SAP data locally.



      Responsibilities

      * Responsible for implementation of all talent management initiatives including goal setting, salary planning, performance reviews, talent assessment, succession planning and development planning.
      * Responsible for effective recommendations and resolution of all employee relations issues in accordance with corporate policy and practices. Consults with business partners on organizational issues and on trends within the employee population and industry and implements solutions.
      * Analyzes and develops effective staffing strategies to include recruitment, training, promotions, and retention. Monitors and analyzes competitive trends. Coordinates recruiting efforts with corporate Recruiting function.
      * Analyzes and effectively recommends benefits programs for all Latin America employees. Supports the administration of compensation and benefits programs by performing job audits, assisting managers in the preparation of job descriptions, and mapping of positions into the salary structure. Monitors and analyzes local competitive compensation practices in coordination with corporate compensation function.
      * Ensures consistent application of corporate procedures and practices regarding employment activities by reviewing and auditing such employment activities. Trains managers and supervisors in effective human resources practices, policies, and procedures. Supports HR initiatives including salary and benefits administration, conducts new hire orientation, and implements corporate compliance programs.
      * Analyzes the needs of management in order to implement HR policies and procedures for the Latin America team. Ensures compliance with local regulations as they pertain to employment laws.
      * Processes and maintains all HR information, including compensation and benefits administration, for new hires, existing and exiting employees utilizing HR technology tools.



      Qualifications/Experience



      · Requires knowledge and skills normally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor's degree plus minimum 10 years of experience in the HR field or equivalent combination of education and experience including client support and management coaching.

      · Experience with a US-based company preferred.

      · Demonstrated competence in all HR functional areas including employee relations, compensation/benefits, recruiting and staffing, HR legal issues, organizational development and training.



      Skills/Behaviors



      · Advanced PC-based computer skills including Microsoft Office and HR Systems (SAP and ResumeWare or equivalent preferred).

      · Must be fluent in English; working knowledge of Spanish preferred

      · Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple complex issues and adjust to rapidly changing priorities. Must have excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills; able to handle sensitive internal and external contacts and issues with discretion, tact and poise; works independently with minimal supervision

      · Knowledge of local HR-related regulations and compliance procedures across Latin America

      · Partners well with leadership to develop a culture of innovation, excellence and openness, and have abilities and ideas to build and enhance the culture

      · Demonstrated success in developing innovative solutions to business problems

      · Possesses strong business acumen with ability to listen to and work with leaders, understand business strategies and provide strategic programs and initiatives to support the business

      · Ability to influence both vertically and horizontally on matters of operational and tactical significance for Latin America

      · Demonstrates operational capability in planning, leading and developing the HR function in LA
